With its spicy, clove like scent, Bay Leaf Essential Oil is popular in Autumn and Winter months. Ideal for diffusing, it is perfect for creating your own warming essential oil blends.
Bay Essential Oil is particularly useful in massage. When combined with a carrier oil and applied topically, it can have a warming effect on the skin, enhancing the benefits of massage. Stimulating and energising, ideal to wake up tired muscles.
Dilute at a percentage of 1% of the finished blend, 1ml of essential oil (approx. 20 drops) to 100ml of carrier oil. Do not use undiluted on the skin. Consult your doctor or midwife before using during pregnancy.
Combine with other revitalising essential oils and add a few drops to your oil burner or diffuser and experience the power of bay Leaf Oil for yourself. We love Orange Sweet (#105) and Lemon (103).
Make your own massage blend by combining Bay with Grapeseed Oil (#210), Cedarwood (#187) and Lemon (#103) for a warming and invigorating massage.
Thanks to its stimulating powers, Bay can have a positive effect on your hair. Try adding a couple of drops to your shampoo and conditioner for a concentrated boost.
Combine 1ml or approx. 20 drops of Bay Leaf Oil with 30g Beeswax (#307) and 70ml of a carrier oil of your choice to create a simple heat muscle rub.
