The sweetest of all the citrus oils, Mandarin is a bright, cheerful addition to an aromatherapy blend. It has an uplifting yet relaxing quality and can help you feel revived and invigorated. When used in a diffuser or burner, it will almost certainly bring a little sunshine to your day.
Mandarin Essential Oil is a great choice for using in massage oil blends. Combined with a carrier oil, Mandarin can be used to make a citrusy, energising massage oil.
Thanks to its clarifying and cleansing powers, this fruity oil is often used in the preparation of skincare products such toners and cleansers, especially suited for those people with oily skin types, leaving it cleansed, nourished and smooth. It is often used to fragrance soaps, bath bombs and candles.
This refreshing and zesty oil is useful around the house, from household cleaning to freshening the air. Mandarin Oil will make any room smell beautiful, fresh and sweet.
You may notice that your Mandarin Oil has some sediment in it. Don't worry, this is just naturally occurring waxes that help make the beautiful aroma of the oil. The oil is cold pressed, so it retains all the wonderful nutrients of the fruit. Just remember to give the bottle a good shake before use and the sediment should disperse.
How to Use
Dilution: Dilute at a percentage of 1% of the finished blend, typically 20 drops or 1ml of essential oil to 100ml of carrier oil. Do not use undiluted on the skin. You can use up to 3% dilution for use on your body or in the bath.
Skincare: Make your own simple facial toner by combining Mandarin Oil with Lavender Floral Water #604. Remember to give the toner a shake before use to disperse the essential oil in the floral water.
Massage: Use Mandarin Oil to make your own massage blend. We recommend Sweet Almond (#215), Grapeseed (#210) or Coconut Oil (#203).
Aromatherapy: Add a few drops to your oil burner or diffuser and enjoy the uplifting and sweet aroma of Mandarin Oil.
Blends well with: Black Pepper, Clary Sage, Cypress, Frankincense, Geranium Rose, Grapefruit, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Neroli and Ylang Ylang. Mandarin blends well with most oils, it brings sweetness and can help complete a blend.
Beauty Hack: Add a couple of drops to your shampoo or conditioner for a zesty boost!
In the bath: Mix a few drops with one of our carrier oils and add to your bath to give a wonderful aromatic spa experience to your bathroom, leaving you smelling lovely and your skin feeling silky and smooth.
