EXTRACTION METHOD: The has been extracted through the steam distillation of the flowering tops of the herb.
Native to the Mediterranean, the main countries which produce this fresh oil are Tunisia, Spain and France. The plant belongs to the mint family which includes other herbs such as basil, sage, lavender and myrtle. Well known for its culinary use, this evergreen shrub produces a woody, refreshing herbaceous oil when steam distilled.
Rosemary Oil is popular in aromatherapy. It has an uplifting, rich and warm aroma that will leave you feeling invigorated and revitalised. Many use this oil to help with concentration whilst studying.
As a natural antioxidant, when applied topically to the skin, diluted with a carrier oil, this oil can help to naturally fight against free radicals. To discover the benefits for yourself, simply add it to your beauty regime as part of your cleanser, toner or moisturiser.
Rosemary Oil is well known for its haircare benefits. It promotes strong, healthy hair. Adding a couple of drops to your shampoo can help boost shine and strength and promote a healthy scalp.
Rosemary oil is also extensively used in household products, for example room fresheners, diffusers, and scented candles in order to remove bad odours. It is also used in cosmetics, scented bath products, and perfumes. It is used extensively in soaps, detergents, cosmetics, household sprays and as a masking agent.
How to Use
Dilution: Dilute at a percentage of 1% of the finished blend, typically 20 drops or 1ml of essential oil to 100ml of carrier oil. Do not use undiluted on the skin. You can use up to 3% dilution for use on your body or in the bath.
Skincare: Add a couple of drops to your cleanser, toner or moisturiser.
Massage: Use in a massage blend with a carrier oil, to enjoy the invigorating and rejuvenating powers of Rosemary Oil. We recommend Sweet Almond (#215), Grapeseed (#210) or Coconut Oil (#203).
Aromatherapy: Add a few drops to your diffuser or oil burner and immerse yourself in the calming yet uplifting aroma of Rosemary Essential Oil. Haircare: Add a couple of drops to your shampoo or try creating an intensive hair mask combining Rosemary Essential Oil with a carrier oil. We recommend Extra Virgin Olive Oil (#223) or (#203).
Beauty Hack: Use as an ingredient in your homemade lotions, balm, creams and serums.
Blends well with: Basil, Cedarwood, Geranium Rose, Ginger, Grapefruit, Lemongrass, Lime, Lemon, Orange, Peppermint, Tangerine and Tea Tree.
