Description
INGREDIENTS: 100% Ylang Ylang Oil
INCI: Cananga Odorata
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Comoros
ODOUR: Tropical/floral/sweet.
COLOUR: Pale yellow/deep-orange/amber Characteristic fresh, medicinal, clean, herbaceous, earthy and woody with a top note.
EXTRACTION METHOD: This oil is extracted using a unique method of fractional steam distillation of the fragrant flowers.

Predominantly balancing in nature, this oil comes from the strikingly beautiful exotic yellow flowers of the tropical Cananga tree. Being naturally versatile, its sensual, uniquely tropical, floral aroma appeals to both men and women.

Its moisturising properties make this organic essential oil ideal to use in skincare, leaving the skin hydrated and soft, especially when applied to dry or oily skin. It has balancing properties so is ideal for those with opily skin. Try adding a few drops of Ylang Ylang to your cream or lotion and apply it to your skin. Ylang Ylang can be used to make your own skincare formulations such as cleansers, toners, face and body oils and body butters.

Popular in aromatherapy, this oil is said to have a calming yet uplifting scent. It was traditionally used as an aphrodisiac. Used in a bath oil, it makes an effective relaxing and aromatic soak or steam bath, leaving you feeling soothed.

Ylang, Ylang can be added to your haircare formulations, for silky shiny hair. Add a few drops of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil to your shampoo for a beautifully exotic twist.

How to Use
Dilution: Dilute at a percentage of 1% of the finished blend, typically 20 drops or 1ml of essential oil to 100ml of carrier oil. Do not use undiluted on the skin. You can use up to 3% dilution for use on your body or in the bath.

Massage: Blend with our Almond Sweet Oil (#215) and Lavender Essential Oil (#102) for a soothing, aromatic massage.

Aromatherapy: Add a few drops to your diffuser or oil burner and immerse yourself in the soothing and sensual nature of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil.

Haircare: Try simply blending a few drops of Ylang Ylang with a carrier oil. For the hair, we love Jojoba (#233), Avocado (#231) or Coconut Oil (#203). Massage your mask into your scalp and lengths of your hair, be sure to work it into the ends, cover hair and leave for up to an hour, rinse and wash as normal.

Skincare: To discover the benefits for yourself, try simply blending with a carrier oil of your choice and use as a facial night serum. For the skin, we love Cacay Oil (#205).

In the bath: Combine a few drops of Ylang Ylang with one of our carrier oils and add to your bath for a wonderful, aromatic spa experience at home, leaving you smelling beautiful and your skin feeling silky smooth.

Blends well with: It works well with citrus oils such as Lemon, Neroli Orange Sweet, Grapefruit and other floral oils such as Rose, Jasmine and Patchouli.

As with any new product always conduct a patch test before use.
